The False Alice -Retold Tale- Launches on Steam November 27 With English Support

Visual Arts and team Acea have announced that their visual novel based on a mobile game, The False Alice -Retold Tale-, will launch on PC via Steam on November 27, 2026, in English, Japanese, and Chinese. A free demo remains available, though its saved data can’t be transferred to the full release.

Set in the Remnant World, the setting is inhabited by characters known as Failed Creations. These individuals come from abandoned stories and are bound by a rule that requires those who share the same name to kill one another. Only the final survivor can become the real version of that character.

The story follows Sensei, an amnesiac protagonist who encounters three different versions of Alice from Alice in Wonderland. Each Alice is a Failed Creation, meaning the three are expected to fight until only one remains. However, their meeting with Sensei changes the course of their story.

The three central Alices have different personalities and abilities. Prima, voiced by Aoi Yuki, wears a red dress and fights with a sword. She acts impulsively and develops a particularly strong attachment to Sensei.

Secunda, voiced by Chiwa Saito, specializes in archery, reconnaissance, and assassination. She remains reserved but recognizes Sensei’s strategic abilities and agrees to cooperate.

Tertia, voiced by Misato Fukuen, is a magic user identified by her white hat. Although timid and occasionally clumsy, she can act decisively when circumstances demand it.

Another character, Alter Alice, is voiced by Inori Minase. She closely resembles the real Alice and possesses considerable power. Despite being an opponent, she behaves differently around Sensei. Sensei, the game’s protagonist, is voiced by Mariya Ise.
