Stupid Never Dies: First Bite Demo Update Improves Combat With Easier Enemy

Sega and developer GPTRACK50 have released a new gameplay video for Stupid Never Dies, detailing the progression loop.

Between runs, Davy returns to a shopping mall that serves as the game’s home base. At Ink on the Brain, Ascelino can use Over Technology collected during runs to modify Davy’s head, arms, and legs through the Body Hack system.

Bessie Burger provides another progression route, allowing monster parts to be exchanged for Zombie Skills. Once obtained, these skills can appear among the choices offered when leveling up.

Davy can move between the mall’s stores using a modified robot vacuum before heading back into the underworld.

Each run begins with Davy at level one, but the Blazing Fast Growth system gradually increases how quickly he gains levels as players progress. Eventually, defeating a single enemy near the beginning of a run can provide enough experience to gain several levels at once. The system is designed to prepare Davy to eventually reach KOM and defeat the boss in a single run.

The Stupid Never Dies: First Bite demo has also received an update based on player feedback. Attacks have been adjusted to make enemies on the ground and in the air easier to hit, while a new optional Combat Camera Assist helps keep enemies in view. These combat changes will also be included in the full game at launch.

Stupid Never Dies is the debut project from GPTRACK50, a studio formed by veteran action game developers. Progression is centered around customizing Davy’s undead body.

Stupid Never Dies will be available in two editions. The Standard Edition will retail for $49.99, while the Glorious Idiot Edition will cost $59.99 and includes the base game along with the first DLC, TickTock Teddies: Nonsense Overload Pack.

The game will feature English voice-over support alongside English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Polish, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese subtitles.

Stupid Never Dies will launch on October 21, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam.
