Koei Tecmo has announced that a free demo for Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered will be released on September 24, 2026, across all platforms.
Additionally, a free update implementing online co-op is planned to be incorporated by January 2027.
Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered is a modern revival of Dynasty Warriors 3 and its expansion, Dynasty Warriors 3: Xtreme Legends. It collectively features over 40 playable officers and locations rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5.
Dynasty Warriors 3 introduced several mechanics that became staples of the series, including True Musou Attacks and two-player simultaneous play. It also marked the first time the series surpassed one million copies sold.
The Xtreme Legends expansion then added a new story for seven officers, including Lu Bu, Meng Huo, and Yuan Shao, along with features like bodyguard customization, additional weapons, and multiple challenge modes.
Pre-orders will include a Red Hare Saddle, while the digital deluxe edition will give six secret teachings, a wind scroll and tiger amulet, 42 weapons for fusion, an officer concept art collection, and 42 retro costumes.
Additionally, this release has been confirmed to introduce evasion, Just Evasion, Perfect Power Guard, and Weapon Fusion mechanics. Two-player mode will also be available.
Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC via Steam on October 1, 2026.
