Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse Free Demo Launches October 1 With Transferable Save

Konami and Evil Empire have announced that a free demo for their upcoming metroidvania, Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, will be released on October 1, 2026, across all platforms. 

The demo will feature the game’s opening chapter and transferable save data to the full release. 

Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse is set 23 years after Castlevania: Dracula’s Curse in Paris, 1499, and features an all-new 2D action-exploration gameplay experience while celebrating the franchise’s 40th anniversary.

Trevor Belmont’s successor, Rose Belmont, aims to save Paris while wielding the Vampire Killer whip in swift bouts.

Alongside a reiteration of the whip, which can be used to slay enemies and traverse environments, familiar and new bosses are sealed into the tarot cards of the protagonist, Rose, upon defeat. They then become Arcana, granting skills for spells and unique actions. The game will feature seven weapon categories, as well as equippable Relics for both offense and defense.

Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on October 15, 2026.
