Shenmue 3 Enhanced delayed, statement released

Shenmue 3 Enhanced has been delayed, so we won’t be seeing the game this year as originally planned.

Shenmue 3 Enhanced was originally planned to launch sometime this year. However, given how there are only a couple of months left in the year, today’s update doesn’t come as a big surprise. Shenmue 3 Enhanced is now on track for early 2027.

ININ’s full statement about the Shenmue 3 Enhanced delay is as follows:

We’re well aware that you’re eagerly awaiting the chance to see Ryo shine like never before, for the first time on several modern consoles. Development is taking time to get everything right, and we’re making great progress while finalizing the last details.

We’ll have more details to share with you soon and are looking forward to this release in early 2027!

We last heard about the title back in May. That’s when ININ provided frame rate and resolution details for Shenmue 3 Enhanced on Nintendo Switch 2.
