Public Demo Drops For Wyldheart At Triple-i Initiative

As announced during the Triple-i Initiative, developer Wayfinder Studios and publisher Curve Games have dropped co-op RPG Wyldheart’s first publicly available demo on Steam! Players, alongside 3 of their friends, can now experience the fallen kingdom of Caerwyn firsthand together. Play the demo now on Steam ahead of its participation in October’s Steam Next Fest and wishlist the game!

In this demo, experience just a taste of what a full campaign in Wyldheart will feel like. Go forth solo or quest with up to 3 of your friends into several hours of swordcraft, magic and lore:

• YOUR VERY OWN HERO – With 4 ancestries, 19 story backgrounds and hundreds of customisation options to choose from, you’ll create your very own unique hero to step forth as. Will you be a proud Freefolk, a small (and often underestimated) Mossling, a towering Grimhorn or a stout Stonefolk?

• THE SLURPER’S DEN – A brand new mushroom themed dungeon to get lost in. Go toe to… fungi… with feisty mushroom enemies that lurch out of the darkness to take on your party, smiling all the while. Dodge neon green fire and search dark, hazy caverns lit only by bioluminescence. Just how big can these fun guys get anyway?

• THE WHISPERWOODS – Escape The Slurper’s Den and discover all there is to experience in the Whisperwoods region of Caerwyn: from three additional dungeons, to the village of Rivermere (where local villagers have gossip to share). On the way, experience random encounters, ambushes and fellow citizens travelling the worn roads!

• ADAPT YOUR COMBAT – Cleverly combine magic and brawn in immersive, fast paced combat. Choose to combine skilltrees traditionally unpaired in RPGs, in a uniquely classless skill system. Pair the art of melee or ranged weaponry with the Oldways of Magic, with four paths of magic to choose from: Blight, Pyre, Rime and Storm.

In this story, you and your friends are not the chosen ones. Instead, you are a relatively unknown party, and your stories are yet untold. Rewrite your fate in the way you design, and freely build your adventure.

Wyldheart has been created by a small indie team of ex-AAA developers, led by co-founders Dennis and Fia Brännvall and Manne Ederyd, former creative, studio and technical directors at DICE and Embark. Together, they dreamed of bringing the magic of cosy tabletop gaming to a sprawling fantasy RPG, combining the craft and experience of AAA development with the creativity and focus of a small independent team.
