Choice-Driven Dance Drama ‘After the Wane’ Launches This November; New Trailer

Nova-box has announced that After the Wane, its upcoming choice-driven interactive graphic novel, will launch on November 10, 2026, on PC via Steam. The studio also released a new trailer highlighting the game’s story, dance-focused setting, and branching decisions.

After the Wane follows Lena, a young dancer who moves to the capital while trying to learn more about the mother who abandoned her as a child. Soon after arriving, she becomes caught in a longstanding conflict between Fernand, the director of a community center, and Deborah, who leads an exclusive theater troupe.

Lena’s connection to the dispute may be tied to her mother, who was also a dancer. At the same time, Lena begins dealing with increasingly strange events, including a persistent voice in her head that comments on her actions.

Players will determine how Lena approaches her new life and the people around her. She can align herself with the exclusive dance company, spend time helping dancers at the community center, or remain independent while pursuing an interest in the occult. Her choices also affect several possible romantic relationships as she balances her personal life against her dancing career.

The game includes multiple story paths and endings, with different scenes and hand-drawn artwork appearing depending on the decisions made during each playthrough. Dance sequences are animated by hand using rotoscoping, while the original soundtrack changes according to Lena’s choices and the mood of individual scenes.

After the Wane is the latest interactive graphic novel from Nova-box, the developer behind Along the Edge and Across the Grooves.
