Another chance for you to find your next favourite, with our second set of demo highlights from Steam Next Fest - October 2026 edition.
I already rounded up 15 demos previously, plus a bunch of Native Linux demos and an initial quick list. So hopefully with this next set you would have found something you like after sifting through the noise of all the slop. Like other articles, I've ensured all these do not have an AI notice.
What the Buck?!
What the Buck?! is a satisfying incremental game about destroying money. Shred stacks of cash, set off chain reactions across the table, prestige for permanent upgrades and automate your money destruction. Your demo progress carries over to the full game.
N.E.O.N. HORIZON
Build your own ship from the hull up. Arm it, install a variety of systems, break the rules — then survive relentless waves of escalating threats in this sci-fi roguelite shooter. Experiment with weapons, relics and powerful synergies. Reach Horizon.
Number Machine: Math Factory
Number Machine is an open-ended factory and automation game with math mechanics. Design, build, and optimize factories that automatically assemble and deliver complex numerical structures. Inspired by Opus Magnum and Infinifactory.
Sandcastle
On a sun-warmed tropical shore, quietly craft a mighty sandcastle. Carve moats, raise towers and walls, then embellish with driftwood, pebbles, shells and seaweed. Gentle tides, soft surf and a calming color palette turn every build into a peaceful, relaxing moment.
Ironfront Express
Customize and upgrade the Ironfront Express to kingdom come in this bullet-hell, tower-defense roguelite. Engineer and command the Ironfront Express in a unique take on lane defense, where you upgrade with specialized turrets, drones, and tactical abilities. Scrap the swarm!
Wyrdtide
Wyrdtide is a viking CO-OP & singleplayer survival roguelite where you don't wade into the horde, you sail your longship straight into it. There's no hero to level and no dodging on foot only a hull, a crew at their posts, and a raid that grows hungrier the longer you last.
Demon Crisis
A fast, ridiculous On-Rails Arcade Shooter about two government employees fighting through a demon-infested office. Play Solo or in Two-Player Co-Op using a mouse, controller, or any modern USB Lightgun.
Frostrail
Through the frost, death follows the tracks. Dive into a ruthless survival FPS, solo or co-op. Explore, scavenge, craft and fight to endure a frozen, corrupted world. Operate and upgrade your steam-powered train through an unforgiving wasteland, where every choice is a matter of survival.
Prospice: Anomalous Logistics
Haul cursed cargo across a haunted island, where the terrain can take your life and every road bears the scars of the past.
Broken Shell
Broken Shell is a short, hand-drawn puzzle adventure about two hermit crabs searching for a place to call home. Explore a vibrant underwater world, solve gentle puzzles, and experience a heartfelt story told entirely without words.
Last Moon
Become a Lunar Knight and rekindle the light of a dying world, alone or in co-op, in Last Moon, a hand-drawn Action RPG inspired by 90s classics. Explore Eterna and its interconnected paths, master weapons, skills and runes before the shadows consume everything.
Deadzone Rogue 2
Fight as Talon 13-10 in this FPS roguelite adventure set on a fallen Earth. Combine weapons, augments, and elements to forge devastating builds, and blast through Monarch’s endless machines. Grow stronger each run, solo or with friends.
Guns of Eschaton
This soulslike FPS pulls you into an apocalyptic Western by the legendary Viktor Antonov: a land of dust, blood, and horror. Study your enemies, count your bullets, forge your own style with gunpowder and prayers. Solo or in co-op—go West, gunslinger, go West and die with the country!
SuperCitycon
A city builder with a retro-inspired look and the freedom to shape your world. Build roads, railways and entire neighborhoods in a creative sandbox. Customize buildings, vehicles and more with SCC Studio, the in-game voxel editor, and share your creations through Steam Workshop.
Project SEVER
Project Sever is an adventure submarine simulator with a touch of horror. Master the controls of an old Project "Sever" submarine and learn to maintain it in working order to escape a deadly underwater trap and solve the mystery of the Anomalous Zone.
